Tamilnadu Agricultural University (TNAU) Invites Applications for UG Programs

Tamilnadu Agricultural University (TNAU) a 100 year old institution offering various engineering and science programs in Agriculture, Horticulture and forestry Disciplines in 14 constituent and 19 affiliated colleges spread across Tamilnadu state. For the academic year 2016-17 TNAU started an online admission process for 13 UG programs on the basis of merit obtained in the qualifying exam.

Application process

Candidates have to register and apply online on TNAU Website which is a 3 step process, after successful completion an online payment window will be available for application fee remittance which is Rs.600/- for general category (Rs. 300/- for Reserved category). Online application is available from 4^th May 2016 and last date to apply is 11^th June 2016. Submission of  joint declaration form  by post is compulsory for all the candidates except who have applied  under Differently Abled / Ex-servicemen / Descendants of Freedom Fighter / Eminent Sports Person / Industry Sponsorship / Non Resident Indian (NRI) Quota, and others have to appear in person between 9^th t0 11^th June for signing of declaration form and verification of documents.

General Eligibility Criteria

• Domicile of Tamilnadu candidates are only eligible for TNAU admissions
• Candidates shall pass 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized board with 55% aggregate (50% for BCM, 45% for MBC and pass marks for SC/SCA/ST) in all the four compulsory subjects listed in information brochure are eligible for the admission in to the respective programs.
• Candidates with maximum 2 attempts ( 3 for other categories)  to pass  qualifying exam are only eligible for TNAU admissions
• Candidates should not complete 21ys by 1^st July of the respective admission year (no age limit for other categories).

Merit list and Admissions

Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam and a single window counseling process allots the seat and institution on the basis of rank obtained by the candidate.
