Kerala Medical PG Super Speciality 2017 Entrance Exam

CEE Kerala conducts admission process for post graduate medical super speciality courses through Kerala PG Super Speciality Entrance Exam, offered by Kerala University of health sciences and its affiliated colleges for academic year 2017-18. All the available seats will be filled through counsesling, and seat allotment will be based on candidate’s performance in the entrance test conducted by the authority. In service quota candidates will have first priority while filling the seats. Exam will be conducted in second week of July in different sessions for different papers as listed below.

Kerala PG Super Speciality 2017 Application Form and Fee payment

Candidates who are willing to appear PGSS Entrance test have to apply through online application only.  Online application will be available in the month June and Application process contains 3 steps.

Step-1 Registration

There will be a onetime registration process where all the necessary information has to be provided by the candidate. Upon successful registration candidates will get a system generated application number which can be used to complete the application process.

Step-2 Filling up application

Candidates have to use the application number and password for login to fillup the application.  Filling the application can be done only after uploading photograph. After filling up the application candidate can save the same and can preview. Edit option is available for corrections before the final submission of application. Candidates have to check all the details entered in the application before final submission as no correction is allowed after that.

Step-3 Fee Payment

Fee payment can be done online or can pay through DD drawn from any nationalized bank.  Application fee is Rs. 2500/- for General Candidates (Rs 1000/- for SC/ST)

After completion of all the 3 steps candidates have to take the print out of the application, affix a recent photograph (same as uploaded one), duly signed   and send to the examination authority along with all the necessary documents by register/ speed post.  A copy of the same has to be preserved by the candidates for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should be citizen of India.
  • Candidates shall pass MBBS/MD/DNB from any institution with in India.
  • Candidates shall pass the relevant post graduate degree from any recognized institution.
  • Candidates who appeared / appearing final year of qualifying exam and whose results are awaited can also apply.
  • Candidates should possess permanent registration with respective state medical council.
  • No upper age limit for general category candidates and 52 years for in service candidates.

Exam Pattern and Papers

Entrance exam is divided into 2 papers i.e., Paper 1 & paper2. Each of the papers contains 90 questions, and has to be answered in one and half hour. All the questions are MCQ type and each question will have 4 options with single correct answer. Four marks will be awarded for correct option and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.  Candidates have to bubble the OMR sheets with blue/black pen only. Candidates have to score a minimum of 50% from each paper to get eligible for admission into the programs.

Kerala PGSS 2017 Admit card

Admits cards for whose candidature is accepted for taking exam, will be available for download in June on CEE Kerala website. Candidates have to produce the same at the time of exam and advised to preserve till the admission process completes.

Rank list and Admissions

  • Rank list will be prepared for both general and in service quota candidates.
  • All the selection will be done based on the merit obtained in the entrance exam only.
  • Allotment of seat will be done through the counselling conducted by DME, Kerala and candidates are allowed to select the course and the institution of their choice according to eligibility.
  • No change in allotment of course and institution is allowed after counselling.
