Law School Admission Test - LSAT India 2017

Law School Admission Test India is administrated by testing platform Pearson on behalf of LSAC (Law School Admission Council) which is common entrance test for more than76 law colleges that offer LLB/LLB (Integrated)/LLM law programs across India. Pearson administers the LSAT India exam which will be held once in academic year. This test is Logical & Reasoning based test which is conducted at various test cities across India. Test scores are only valid for current academic year and are valid to get admissions with in Indian law schools only. LSAT India 2017 entrance exam schedule has been announced and exam will be held on 21-May-2017.

Eligibility

As no specific eligibility is formulated by LSAC to appear for LSAT India, Candidates willing to appear for LSAT India have to go through the institution websites to which they wish to apply for desired Law programs. Here are the common eligibilities generally accepted by the law colleges in India, but may vary from institution to institution.

  • Candidates shall pass 10+2 with any discipline with an aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST) in 10+2. From any recognized Board/Institution for LLB (Integrated) courses.
  • Candidates shall pass minimum 3 year graduation from any recognized institute/university with an aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST) for LLB/LLM courses.

Test Pattern and Scores

LSAT India test is a conventional pencil and paper based conducted for duration of 2 hours and 20 minutes.  Test paper consists of 4 sections and the amount of time allotted for each section is 35 minutes.  Out of 4 sections logical reasoning will cover 2 sections and left will be covered by analytical reasoning and reading comprehension. Each section will have approximately 24 questions, and total test paper may have 92 to 100 questions. All the questions are in multiple choice formats with single correct answer where some questions will have 4 and other will have 5 choices. LSAT India score will be declared in percentile and no negative marking is applicable.

LSAT India will derive separate scores for LLB/LLM group and 5 year Integrated LLB group based on the performance by the candidates in the particular group opted by them during registration.

LSAT India 2017

Pearson has announced LSAT India 2017 test schedule and exam will be held on 21st May 2017 on selected test centers. Application process has started from 14th September 2016 and candidates who are willing to appear for LSAT India 2017 have to register online on or before April 10th, 2017.

Online Application/Registration Process

Candidates willing to appear LSAT India 2017 have to register online using valid email-id. After onetime registration is done, candidate will receive a validation mail to go forward with application process.

Upon successful validation candidates can continue filling the application form by logging to dashboard provided by Pearson where candidates have to fill 6 sections to complete the application form. Candidates have to upload the soft copy of photograph to get start with the application.

Personal information section

In personal information section candidates have to fill all the necessary details like name, gender, DOB, reservation category, nationality, previous LSAT India attempts and information about any disability.

Address information section

In this section candidates have to fill the contact details like phone number, home address, country and permanent address.

Education qualification section

In education qualification section candidates have to provide the educational details containing Language of instruction, 10th details, 10+2 details and graduation details with grades and percentages.

Program preferences section

In this section candidates have to select the program of study, test center, 8 preferred associate colleges and additional associate colleges to report the LSAT India 2017 scores.

Additional information section

In additional information section candidates have to provide parents information and contact details to complete the application form. Signing the declaration candidates can move to submit the application form. On every step of application filling, auto save option is enabled to save the data filled by the candidates to ease the form filling experience.

LSAT India 2017 Fee Payment

Upon successful submission of application system will navigate to payment option where candidates have to pay the examination fee of Rs 3800/- by means of credit/debit cards only.

LSAT India 2017 Admit cards

Admit cards for LSAT India 2017 will be available from 15th April 2017 and candidates can download the admit cards from the link “Download admit card” by logging in to candidate dashboard, which will be provided from the said date.  Admit card will contain candidates registration details with photograph uploaded, and candidates have to carry a printout of admit card along with required photo-id to the test center on LSAT India 2017 test date.

Test Results

LSAC will announce the LSAT India 2017 test results on 20th May 2017 and candidates can view and download the test result online. No score cards will be sent personally and candidates can download the score cards up to 2 months from the date of result announcement.  Candidate’s score will be reported to the institutes automatically to which candidate has selected during application process.
