Kerala 3 Year LLB Entrance Exam 2016

Every year Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala conducts a Centralized allotment process to fill the seats in government quota seats in government and private self financing colleges across Kerala state. To ascertain the merit of the candidates, board conducts LLB 3 year entrance exam and all the admissions are purely based on merit obtained in the exam. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into 3 year LLB program for academic year 2016-17 and candidates willing to apply have to apply online through three year LLB 2016 online application in the board website. Online window is available from 13th August 2016 and last date for applying to entrance exam will be 23rd August 2016.

UPDATE 21/11/16 5:33PM: CEE Kerala publisehd 2nd Round of seat allotment and candidates alloted with seats have to report between 23rd and 25th November to secure the seat. Candidates who are upgraded to higher options have to obtain TC and relavent documents from the current college and have to join the newly alloted college in the specified dates.

Application Process

All the candidates who wish to appear the entrance exam have to apply online only and a onetime registration has to be done in the candidate portal to initiate application process. An application fee of Rs 600/- (Rs 300/- for SC/ST) has to be remitted either by online or in the form of DD.

Online registration: Candidates have to register online providing necessary details like name, DOB, E-mail id, mobile number and password. A system generated application number will be assigned to the candidates to proceed further.

Filling-up application online:  Candidates have to log-in using application number and DOB to fill the application. Candidates have to upload the soft copy of studio generated photograph to proceed with the application process. Candidates can enter the other necessary details only after successful photo upload. After filling all the mandatory details candidates have to click the save and preview for the validation of information provided in the application form.

Final submission and Edit: After validation of data entered in the application final submission and edit buttons will be displayed. Candidates can proceed with the final submission if he/she has fully satisfied with the information provided or else can opt edit button to correct any details furnished in the application. Once final submission button is clicked candidates cannot alter the application form.

Payment of application fee:  Candidates can pay the application fee through online or by Demand Draft drawn in favor of “Commissioner for Entrance Exams”. Once payment is made candidates have to take a print out of the application form. Candidates who opted for DD payment have to enter the payment details after the final submission to proceed for print out of duly filled application.

Candidates have to take the print out of the application form and affix the photograph (same as uploaded), Left hand thumb impression and have to sign wherever indicated. Now the application has to be attested by government gazetted officer and to be sent to the board office along with all required documents to reach on or before last date for application submission. Candidates who paid the fee payment in the form of DD have to attach the DD along with printed application form. Candidates are advised to keep photo copy of duly filled application for future reference.  

Eligibility for 3 year LLB 2016

  • Candidates shall be domicile of India
  • Candidates shall pass any graduation with 45% aggregate (42% in case of SC/ST) from any university in Kerala or equivalent institution.
  • Candidates who are appearing final year of qualifying exam in admission year are also eligible subject to admission rules.
  • No age limit for three year LLB course.

Exam pattern and Syllabus

Entrance Exam for LLB 3 year course is of MCQ type and exam paper consists of 200 objective questions conducted for 600 marks for duration of 3 hours. Each question contains 4 options with single correct answer where each wrong choice made by candidates will deduct 1 mark. Candidates have to bubble the response in the OMR answer sheets. Candidates are restricted to use only blue/black ball point pens during answering.

LLB three year entrance exam test the candidate’s knowledge in General knowledge, General English and aptitude of candidate towards legal studies. Both General English and General knowledge sections will have 65 objective questions each and Legal aptitude section will contain 70 objective questions.

#Candidates have to score a minimum of 10% (5% in case of SC/ST) in the entrance exam to get eligible for admission into 3 year LLB course offered at 4 Government and 18 self finance institutions across Kerala state.

Test Centers and Exam Date

LLB Three Year Entrance Exam will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulum, Thrissur and Kozhikode test centers only. Exam will be held on 4th September 2016 from 10:00AM to 1:00PM.

Admit Cards

Candidates whose application is accepted by CEE Kerala can download admit cards from candidate portal from 27th August 2016. Printout of the admit card has to be brought to the exam center and also to retain the same till the admission process completes.

Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) for 3 Year LLB admissions 2016

After the publication of merit list CEE Kerala initiates the single window CAP for admission to 3 year LLB course and entire process is online. Candidates have to give the options and seat allotment will be based on merit obtained and options exercised by the candidates. Detailed CAP schedule will be announced later on Board website.
