Kerala Integrated 5 Years LLB Entrance Exam 2016: CEE Kerala conducts Kerala Integrated 5 Years LLB Entrance Exam every year to fill the government quota seats in 4 government Law colleges and 18 private self-financing law colleges in the state. A total of 1240 seats are available in the colleges which will be filled based on merit obtained in the entrance exam. This course is a combination of undergraduate degree from any discipline along with bachelor degree in law leading to an integrated degree in Law.

CEE Kerala inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission into 5 year integrated LLB courses offered in Universities/institutes across Kerala state.  Candidates have to score a minimum of 10% (5% for SC/ST) in the entrance exam to be eligible for admission into five year integrated LLB courses. Aspiring candidates can apply online only from 29th July and applications will be accepted till 8th August 2016. A sum of Rs 600/- has to be remitted against application fee by online or in the form of D.D. in favor of Commissioner for Entrance Exam payable at Thiruvananthapuram.

Eligibility

  • Candidates should be domicile of India.
  • Candidate shall pass 10+2 from Board of higher secondary examination Kerala or equivalent from any recognized board.
  • Candidate shall pass the qualifying exam with minimum marks of 45% (42% for SEBC and 40% for SC/ST) without rounding to the nearest higher percentage.
  • Candidates who are appearing / appeared the final year of qualifying exam in 2016 and whose results are awaited can also apply subject to the admission rules.
  • Candidates shall complete 17 years of age by 31st of December in the exam conducting year.

Applying online

Applying for Entrance exam for integrated 5 year LLB course contains few steps to complete the application process as mentioned bellow.

Step-1

Candidates have to do a onetime registration process to start with, where candidates have to provide Name, DOB, Email-id, Mobile number and desired password to register online.  An application number will be generated upon the successful registration. Once registration process is completed, candidates can login providing application number and password obtained during registration.

Step-2

Candidates have to click the fill-in application link and need to upload the soft copy of recent photograph to continue filling the application with other details. All the details have to be furnished carefully and click the save and preview button. At this level candidate can edit the application and can alter the furnished details and go ahead with final submission. Once the final submission of application is done candidates cannot alter the application and will be directed to payment option.

Step-3

Application fee payment can be done either through online or by DD and candidates have to take the final print out of application and need to send the same along with necessary documents to the “Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Vth Floor, Upper Zone, Housing Board Buildings, Santhi Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram - 695 001” before the last date of application submission. Candidates who paid the application fee in the form of DD need to send the original DD along with printed application. Candidates have to affix the photograph identical to the uploaded one on the application and all the documents should be duly attested. Candidates are advised to keep on set of duly filled application for further reference.

Exam Pattern and Duration

Entrance exam for admission into integrated five year LLB courses is pen and paper based exam where candidates have to bubble the OMR sheets. Exam paper consists of 200 objective questions of MCQ type and each question will have four options with single correct answer. Each correct answer will fetch 3 marks and negative marking system also is adopted in the exam, which affects every incorrect answer to deduct 1 mark. Entrance exam will be conducted for duration of 3 hours from 10:00AM to 1:00PM on 21st August 2016.

Exam Syllabus and Test centers

Exam paper for 5 year integrated LLB course will test the candidate’s ability in General English and General knowledge and also test the candidate’s aptitude towards legal studies.  Both General knowledge and General English sections contain 65 MCQ questions each and Candidates aptitude for legal studies section contains 70MCQ questions.

Exam will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulum, Thrissur and Kozhikode test centers only.

Admit Cards

Candidates whose application has been accepted for Entrance exam for admission into integrated five year LLB courses, can download the admit cards from candidates portal from 16th August 2016. Candidates are advised to preserve the admit cards till the admission process concludes as admit cards have to be submitted at the time of admission.

Results Declaration and Admission process

Results will be declared on CEE website on the later date and admission to the 5 year integrated LLB courses will be done through Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) conducted by CEE Kerala. Allotment of seat is purely based on merit obtained in the entrance exam and options filled by the candidates during option filling process. After the seat allotment candidates have to appear for personal interview conducted by the concerned college official to confirm the seat. Candidates who don’t appear for the personal interview will be barred from the centralized allotment process.
