Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP 2016) is Underway

Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) has started the application process for admission to first year of undergraduate engineering and architecture courses offered in the colleges of Rajasthan through Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP 2016). All the seats (except Management Quota) in the government aided colleges and private unaided colleges/institutes except BITS Pilani, MNIT Jaipur and colleges of other Deemed & Private Universities across Rajasthan will be filled through REAP 2016.

The admission to engineering programs will be based on the scores obtained in JEE Main 2016 and for Architecture programs a valid NATA score is required. Candidates without JEE Main scores are also eligible for admission through REAP 2016 and any leftover seats will be filled based on the percentile marks obtained in class 12^th.  The online application process has started from 17^th May 2016 and the date of closure for filling up the application form without late fees is 17^th June.

Application Procedure

To apply for REAP 2016 a candidate has to register first to the official website by making the payment through online or E-Mitra. On successful payment candidate will get a challan number and token number which can be used to open and fill the application form. The last date for payment through E-Mitra is 15^th June 2016.

In next step the candidate has to fill the ‘online option form’ which will be available from 20^th May 2016. In option form a candidate has to give the choices of preference for institutes and courses. Candidates are allowed to change preferences any number times till the last date on 17^th June 2016. Finally the candidate has to lock the choices in option form on or before the last date or else last saved choices will be locked automatically.

Academic Eligibility

• The candidate should have passed class 12^th or equivalent exam from the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan/CBSE/Any other recognized board with atleast 5 subjects.
• The candidate should have passed Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology and Technical vocational subject with 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category) obtained in each subject in 10+2 examination.
• Candidates whose date of birth is on or after 1^st October 1991 are only eligible for REAP 2016. Relaxation of 5 years will be given for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Selection Procedure

REAP follows merit cum choice based admission procedure as per the options filled by the candidate to allocate seats. REAP advises candidates to make maximum number of choices while filling up the application, so as to get a seat. This year counseling is held in 5 rounds and all the candidates who got allotment in each round have to physically report to the allotted institution within the prescribed date.
