MHT-CET 2017 Exam Date Out

Department of Technical Education, Maharashtra has announced that MHT-CET 2017 date is 11th May, 2017. Detailed notification is expected in the due course and application process will be expecting to start in the month of January, 2017. DTE conducts MHT-CET 2017 at state level to fill the government quota seats in government and private professional institutions in Engineering, Indian system of medicine, Pharmacy and other allied health sciences disciplines.

From this year admissions to the MBBS and BDS course offered at professional colleges across Maharashtra will be filled through merit obtained in the NEET-UG conducted by CBSE. One more change is observed that candidates seeking admission into engineering courses through all India quota need not appear in MHT-CET 2017 as those seats will be filled through JEE Main.

Syllabus for MHT-CET 2017 will be same as prescribed by educational board for Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry and exam pattern is objective type. As per the sources exam pattern and weight age for each subject for engineering courses is under review and likely to change.

Fifteen percent seats in veterinary courses are allocated to all India quota and will be filled through AIPVT 2017 conducted by Veterinary council of India, Ministry of Agriculture.

Admission to these courses will be done through CAP and handled by the concerned authorities and Maharashtra admissions for 2017-18 academic year will be in the month of June.
