JEE Main 2017 application process has closed on 16th January 2017. CBSE is now allowing the applicants for minor corrections in the application form. Data correction in JEE Main 2017 applications will be allowed from 25th January 2017 to 3rd February 2017. It is a onetime chance given to all the applicants and after 3rd February 2017 information in the application form will be treated as final.

How to do data correction in JEE Main 2017 application?

The candidates have to login into JEE Main portal and are advised to verify the particulars furnished during application. Any corrections in the form can be done within the said date. Candidates can correct the spelling mistakes, wrongly entered details and any other particulars. Applicants can change the examination city, educational institution particulars and the percentage of marks entered.

The candidates cannot change the examination mode from CBT to offline during data correction. The candidates can change the category in the application. Any application fee difference of JEE Main 2017 after data correction, has to be paid through credit card/debit card/E-wallet (SBI buddy/Paytm) or by cash in the Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank through e-challan generated during the online correction during 25/01/2017 to 04/02/2017.

JEE Main 2017 image correction in application form

Any discrepancies in images uploaded during the application process can also be corrected and correction window is already available. In 2016 CBSE has verified all JEE main applications for defects in images and informed the applicants about the image correction via email and SMS. In this year no such action is done by CBSE and simply made available the image correction window and candidates have to check themselves for any corrective action required or not.

How to correct JEE main 2017 application images?

The applicants have to login to the image correction window using application number and password set while applying online. The applicants have to click on the “remove discrepancy in uploaded images” link and can remove the uploaded images which are found defective and not meet the prescribed formats and have to upload the new images. The candidates have to save the new images to complete the image correction.

  1. Photo shall be color or b/w.
  2. Polaroid photo not accepted.
  3. Candidate name and date of photo taken have to be printed at the bottom of the photo.
  4. Photo with cap or goggles are not allowed. Spectacles are allowed.
