Delhi University Admissions: New B.Voc. Courses Introduced for 2016-17, Application Process Underway

Delhi University has introduced new B.Voc. and Advanced diploma Courses in the affiliated colleges from the  academic year 2016-17, and is inviting applications from the eligible candidates. Total 7 courses are introduced and admissions to these courses are based on merit in the qualifying exam. Aspiring candidates have to register online through university website and online application is available from 3rd September to 10th September 2016. Delhi University will conduct centralized registration and merit list will be published for every college separately.

The newly introduced courses have 6 semester curriculum and credit based system where candidates have flexibility to exit at 2nd and 4th Semester.  Candidates will be awarded with Diploma and Advanced diploma certificate who exit the course after 4th and 6th semester respectively.

 

B.Voc. courses are so designed to meet the industry requirements as per National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) and purpose of the courses newly designed, is to impart, ready to work with relevant professional skills at each exit level along with general education.

 

Candidates who passed 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized board with 40% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST) are eligible for admissions. Selection for admission will be based on merit in best of four subject’s i.e., one language and three electives studied in 10+2. Candidates who passed the qualifying exam in the relevant vocational stream will have 2% advantage while preparing merit list.

Candidates have to register him/her self using new user sign-up providing email-id, mobile number and has to create a password. After login to UG admission portal candidates can apply for the courses by clicking Apply Now button.

Application Process

Application process involves different steps, at the beginning candidates have to provide personal details as per educational certificates and need to mention the contact address.

After saving the personal details candidates can proceed for next step where he/she has to provide completed educational details.

After providing the academic details one can proceed to upload photograph, scanned signature, self attested 10th certificate, self attested 10+2 certificate and all other relevant documents.

Once all the mandatory documents are uploaded candidates can review the filled application using preview button, and can proceed for fee payment who are satisfied with the information provided.

Candidates can pay the application fee online only and have to remit a sum of Rs 100/- (Rs 50/- for SC/ST) against application fee.

Candidates can apply for as many as courses from single online application and are advised to view the college website for seat availability and course details. Classes may start from 21st September and first merit list will be published on 14th September and D.U. is going to conduct 2 rounds of allotment.
