Assam University MBA Admission 2016-17 : Online Applications Invited
Assam university one of the pioneered central universities in north eastern states of India, has initiated admission process for U.G. & P.G. courses for academic year 2016-17. University having 16+ schools teaching diversified courses in various disciplines like Arts, Engineering, Language, Life sciences, Management etc.
Jawaharlal Nehru School of Management Studies a constituent college of Assam University offers 2 yr MBA program with Finance, HR, Marketing, Operation Management, IT Management as course specializations and a specialized MBA program in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Admission to all the courses will be done by conducting GD (Group discussion) and PI (Personal interview). Applications are invited from aspiring candidates for Academic year 2016-17 who has to full fill the admission criteria as mentioned bellow.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates shall pass a Bachelor degree in any discipline (Science, Commerce, Arts, Mass communication, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, Medical Science or any other relevant field) from any recognized institution with at least 60% marks are equivalent CGPA OR Candidates having score of minimum 70 percentile in CAT 2015.
- Candidates with no CAT score have to qualify in Writing Skill Assessment Test (WSAT).
- Candidates who appeared final semester of qualifying exam before 31st May 2016 can also apply if he/she cleared all the earlier semesters.
Admission process:
Candidates have to submit an online application for admission process, which consists of Group discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates have to take Writing Skill Assessment Test if they don’t have valid CAT score. Weightage of 30% to Academic performance, 20% to CAT or WSAT scores, 20% to GD and 30% to Personal interview will be given on a scale of 100%.
