Karnataka B.Tech. Lateral Entry Admissions into 2nd Year for B.Sc. Candidates 2016-17
KEA invites applications from eligible B.Sc. graduates for admissions into 2nd year engineering courses in lateral entry scheme. Seats vacant after allotment to diploma stream candidates will be filled with B.Sc. candidates.
Candidates who passed B.Sc. with an aggregate of 45% marks (40% for reserved candidates) are eligible for admission into lateral entry B.Tech. programs. Candidates who studied 10+2 in mathematics stream are only eligible.
Candidates who are willing to join 2nd year B.Tech programs have to download the application from KEA website and have to send the duly filled application along with application fee DD to KEA office before 2nd September 2016. A sum of Rs 300/- (250/- for SC/ST) shall be remitted towards application fee and DD should be drawn in favor of “Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore”. Candidates are advised to preserve a photocopy of the duly signed application form for future purposes.
Admissions will be done based on marks obtained in all 3 years in the qualifying exam, merit list along with admission schedule will be published later.
Things to note:
- Application shall be filled with only blue/black point pen only
- Affix photo and left hand thumb impression
- Fill details about qualifying exam like college name, year of passing, university seat number etc..
- Fill DD particulars amount, bank name, DD number and branch.
- If qualifying exam marks are in grade points candidates have to enter SGPA and CGPA score.
