MAH MBA/MMS CET 2017

State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra conducts the MAH MBA/MMS CET for admission to post graduate courses in management offered at various institutes across the state. Institutes across Maharashtra state offers MBA, MMS and PGDM courses and admissions to these courses in government quota are filled through MAH MBA/MMS CET 2017 and all India quota seats will be filled based on merit in CMAT/CAT/XAT/ATMA conducted by different conducting bodies subjected to the admissions criteria. CET cell will conduct the exam once in a year and exam is of online model conducted on a computer.

MAH MBA/MMS CET 2017 Schedule

Department of Technical Education, Maharashtra has announced the MAH MBA/MMS CET 2017 exam date and exam is scheduled to be held for 2 days on 4th and 5th of March 2017. Online applications are aceepted from 21st January 2017 and all the aspirants have to apply by 13th February 2017. Exam will be condcuted on 4th and 5th March 2017 in multiple sessions. Hall tickets for the test will be available from 23rd February 2017 on DTE website.

Eligibility

  • Candidates shall pass any bachelor degree with 50% (45% for reserved classes) marks in aggregate or with equivalent CGPA recognized by Association of Indian universities.
  • Candidates appearing into final year of qualifying exam are also eligible to appear the common entrance test.

Exam Pattern

Exam pattern is of objective type and MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2017 is conducted in online mode.Test will be conducted for 200 marks for duration of 150 minutes and test paper will be availabe in English language only. Exam paper will be divided into four sections and shall include questions from logical reasoning, abstract reasoning, Quantitative aptitude and verbal ability & reading comprehension topics.

Question paper will have MCQ type questions with 5 choices and one correct answer. Candidates will get 1 mark for each correct answer and no negative marking method is adopted.  As there is no order of answering the questions candidates can attempt any question within the test duration. Candidates can review the answer by selecting “Review and Next” button and only those answers will be considered for computing merit list which are “saved”.

Syllabus

Syllabus for Maharashtra MBA/MMS CET is not particularly derived and test questions will be common in nature. Question paper will test the candidate’s ability in accurate and quick thinking, computational skills, language comprehension, grammar, vocabulary and understanding diagrams & figures. Sample questions will be available in the information bulletin for reference.

MAH MBA/MMS CET 2017 Application Process

Application process is started and applications are accepted from 21st January 2017. Aspirants have to apply through DTE website in online mode only.

Online application process involves new registration where candidates have to provide Name, Contact details and Email-id. A system generated provisional registration number and password will be sent to the candidate’s email id and mobile number, which has to be used for further application process.

After logging in to the website, candidates can fill all necessary data to complete the application and validation will be done by the system. After successfully filling the application candidates have to upload the Photo & Signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines.

Applicants can review the filled application before final submission and candidates will be navigated to payment tab. Application fee can be paid only through online and candidates have to pay the prescribed fee through Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets or any other available payment gateways. All the applicants shall complete the applicaion filling and fee payment by 13th February 2017.

Success full payment will lead to generation of E-receipt and candidates have to take a printout of the e-receipt and filled application for future reference.

MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2017 application fee is Rs 1000/- (Rs 800/- for SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B),NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC/PwD)

Hall Tickets for MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2017

Candidates whose application has been successfully accepted can access the MHT-MBA/MMS-CET 2017 hall tickets from 23rd February 2017 and also DTE will mail/SMS the hall tickets to the candidates. Candidates have to download the hall tickets from DTE website and should present printed copy at the exam venue. A photograph identical to the uploaded one during application process should be affixed to the printed hall ticket before attending the exam.

Candidates have to submit the printed copy of hall ticket and original photo id to the invigilator for verification.

Test Centers

DTE will conduct MAH MBA/MMS-CET at different test cities across Maharashtra and few selected cities outside the state.  Candidates have to give one test city preference at the time of application process and board will allot the test city as per the availability. Each test city may have many test venues and allotment of test city/venue is sole discretion of DTE.

MAH MBA/MMS-CET 2017 Results & Admissions

Maharashtra post graduate management entrance exam results for academic year 2017 will be declared on 30th March 2017 at 5:00PM. Test results will be equated across different test forms for parity and as exam is condcuted in multiple sessions.

Admissions will be carried out in the month of May and a centralized allotment process will be conducted to allot the seats to eligible candidates. Admission into state quota seats will be purely based on CET Merit.

Notification for MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2017 admissions will be released on DTE website in the month of May 2017.
