Kerala P.G. Ayurveda 2016 Entrance Exam

CEE Kerala conducts P.G. Ayurveda Entrance exam to admit the eligible general and In-service candidates into Post graduate (M.D. Ayurveda/ M.S. Ayurveda)) courses offered at Ayurveda colleges in Kerala state. Eligible candidates will be merit listed upon the performance in the entrance exam and admission is purely based on merit obtained in the entrance exam. Candidates applying in in-service quota have to register through CEE Kerala and are exempted from appearing the entrance exam. Admissions to the in-service quota candidates will be based on experience and interview will be conducted for all merit listed candidates by Directorate of Ayurveda Medical Education.

Eligibility

Candidates applying for P.G. Ayurveda entrance exam have to satisfy the below listed eligibilities to be considered for admissions into 16 disciplines in M.D. Ayurveda.

  • Candidates shall be citizen of India
  • Candidates shall pass BAMS/BAM/Ayurvedacharya from any CCIM recognized colleges affiliated to Universities in Kerala or equivalent institution recognized by Kerala universities with 50% from theory and practical individually.
  • Candidates who passed BAMS before 1995 from any recognized institution affiliated to Kerala universities are exempted from 50% marks clause.
  • Candidates shall complete one year internship before 31st July of admitting year.
  • Candidates shall not cross 45 (50 years for SC/ST) years before 31st July of admission year.

Exam pattern

Test pattern for P.G. Ayurveda entrance exam will be conventional pen and paper based and questions are MCQ type.  Entrance exam comprises 2 papers and will be conducted in the same calendar day in 2 sessions. Paper-1 of the entrance exam tests the candidate’s ability in the subjects from the entire BAMS course and paper-2 will cover the questions from specialties taught at graduation level. Both the papers consists objective questions and each question has 4 options with single correct answer. Every correct answer will fetch 3 marks and negative marking also is adopted in the exam, so each wrong answer will deduct 1 mark. Both the papers are conducted for duration of 2 hours each where candidates have to bubble the OMR sheets.

Admissions

Admissions for both general and In-service candidates are based on merit list generated by CEE Kerala and admissions will be handled by Directorate of Ayurveda Education , Thiruvananthapuram. Merit listed candidates will be called for an interview and specializations will be allotted by selection committee where candidates have no choice to exercise options.

Application Process for P.G. Ayurveda 2016 Entrance Exam

Candidates willing to join for Ayurveda post graduate courses in academic year 2016-17 have to appear for P.G. Ayurveda 2016 entrance exam which will be held in last week of September 2016.  An online application is provided at cee.kerala.gov.in website from 29th August 2016 and candidates have to do one time registration to fill the application.  Upon providing basic details during one time registration an application number will be generated which will be used for further logins. Candidates have to upload a studio generated photograph and only after uploading the photograph, candidates will be allowed to fill the other mandatory details. A preliminary validation will be done by the system and save & preview button is made available for the cross check. If candidate is satisfied with the information furnished he can go forward with final submission button. Once final submission is done candidates are not allowed to correct/edit any details furnished in the application form.

Fee Payment for P.G. Ayurveda 2016 Entrance Exam

After final submission is done system will navigate to the fee payment window where candidates have option pay the fee either online or by DD. Candidates who pay the fee in the form of DD have to remit the sum in the favor of Commissioner for Entrance Exams, Thiruvananthapuram.   Candidates have to take printout of the filled application and need to affix photograph, left hand thumb impression and need to sign wherever required and have to send to board before 5:00PM on 7th September 2016. Candidates who paid the fee in the form of DD have to send the Original DD along with the application with other necessary documents.

Application Fee is Rs 1000/- for general candidates and Rs 500/- for SC/ST

Candidates applying for In-service quota have to send the duly filled application along with other necessary documents to Directorate of Ayurveda Education, Thiruvananthapuram before the last date.

Admit Cards for Kerala P.G. Ayurveda 2016 Entrance Exam

Candidates whose applications have been successfully accepted can download the admit cards from candidate portal from 22nd September, 2016. Admit card will bear the information about venue and exam time table. Candidates whose application has been rejected for discrepancies found in the information are able to download the admit card only after the corrections have been made. A memo about the discrepancies will be displayed on the candidate portal for correctional action. Candidates have to carry the admit card and blue / black point pens to the exam venue and need to report 30 minutes prior to the exam time.

Results Declaration and Rank lists

After the completion of exam a provisional answer key will be displayed on the board website and taking all the correction requests a final answer key will be announced. Results will be declared within 45 days from the date of exam and same will be forwarded to Directorate of Ayurveda Education.
