WBJEEB JENPAUH 2017

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board conducts a common entrance Exam to admit students into B.H.M.S., B.A.M.S., B.U.M.S., B.P.T., BASLP, and BSc Nursing courses in various government / private institutions in West Bengal state. Candidates aspiring to join these courses for academic year 2017-2018 have to obtain merit in JENPAUH 2017 to get eligible for admission.  The exam is pen and paper based exam of MCQ type and conducted at state level, aspiring candidates has to register online and submit the application.

In the year 2016, JENPAUH examination was conducted by WBJEEB for admission into Bachelor Degree courses of  B.H.M.S. (Homoeopathy). B.A.M.S.(Ayurvedacharyya), BUMS (Unani), B.Sc. Nursing, Physiotherapy and B.A.S.L.P.
(Bachelor of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology).

In the year 2017, on the basis of the communication from Ministry of AYUSH/CCH/CCIM a meeting was conducted by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal on 9th January, 2017 and in line with the
resolution taken in the meeting, the JENPAUH-2017 will be held for admission into the following courses only:

(a) B.Sc. Nursing (Bachelor of Nursing)
(b) B.P.T (Bachelor of Physiotherapy)
(c) B.A.S.L.P. (Bachelor of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology)

Online Application Process

Candidate has to initially register himself on official Website providing Name, Date of Birth, Gender, email id, mobile number along with password. Upon successful registration candidate receives an SMS quoting application number needed for further steps. No correction is entitled after registration hence candidates have to be more cautious providing email id and mobile number as further communication is done through them.  Candidate has to fill the application form providing his academic details and choice of exam centers up to 2. After filling the application candidate has to upload scanned copies of recent passport size photograph, signature, LTI, Age proof, and other certificates as needed. At the end of this process an e-Challan will be generated for making payment which can be done in online and offline modes. A confirmation page will be generated after successful payment update and that can be printed.

Basic Eligibility

  • Applicant must be citizen of India
  • Applicant should attain an age of 17 by 31st December 2017
  • Candidates will be considered domicile of West Bengal who are residing in west Bengal continuously from past 10 years or whose parents are permanent residents of west Bengal having permanent resident proof.
  • Candidates whose domicile is not West Bengal will be considered only for admission into non government institutions.

Academic  Eligibility

Eligibility for BHMS and BPT

  • Candidate should pass 10+2 from west Bengal council of higher secondary examination or equivalent from any recognized board with English, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology with native language as compulsory subjects and must have pass marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Candidates who are appearing qualifying exam in 2017 and whose results are awaited are also eligible

Eligibility for BAMS

  • Candidate should pass 10+2 from west Bengal council of higher secondary examination or equivalent from any recognized board with English, Chemistry, Physics and biology with native language as compulsory subjects and 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology together.
  • Candidates who are appearing qualifying exam in 2017 and whose results are awaited are also eligible

Eligibility for BUMS

  • Candidate should pass 10+2 from west Bengal council of higher secondary examination or equivalent from any recognized board with English, Chemistry, Physics and Biology with native language as compulsory subjects and 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology together.
  • Candidates who are appearing qualifying exam in 2017 and whose results are awaited are also eligible
  • Candidate should study Urdu, Persian, Arabic in 10th standard or passed Urdu test conducted by university or concerned board.

Eligibility for B.Sc. Nursing

  • Candidate should pass 10+2 from west Bengal council of higher secondary examination or equivalent from any recognized board with English, Chemistry, Physics and Biology with native language as compulsory subjects and 50% aggregate (40% for SC/ST) in Physics, Chemistry, English  and biology together.
  • Candidates who are appearing qualifying exam in 2017 and whose results are awaited are also eligible.
  • Only female candidates are eligible to take test for B.Sc. nursing.

Eligibility for BASLP (Bachelor of Audio and Speech Language Therapy)

  • Candidate should pass 10+2 from west Bengal council of higher secondary examination or equivalent from any recognized board with Chemistry , Physics and Biology/ Mathematics/Computer Science / Statistics/ Electronics/ Psychology as compulsory subjects
  • Candidates who are appearing qualifying exam in 2017 and whose results are awaited are also eligible.

Exam Pattern and Exam Date

JENPAUH 2017 will be a pen and paper based exam conducted for 200 marks where candidates have to bubble the OMR sheet with Blue / Black ball point pen only. Entrance exam is divided into 2 papers and each paper consists of 50 MCQ type questions with four choices and single correct answer. Each correct answer will award 2 marks and wrong choice will deduct ½ mark.  Questions are in both English and Bengali language. Paper 1 test the candidate ability in Biological Sciences and paper 2 consists of questions from Physics and Chemistry. Duration of each paper is 120 minutes and counducted in 2 sessions in single day. JENPAUH 2017 exam will be conducted on 28th May, 2017.

JENPAUH exam questions are derived from 10+2 syllabus stipulated by West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.

Admit Cards

Candidates can download Admit Cards for JENPAUH 2017 from WBJEEB website in second week of May 2017 and need to produce the same along with a Recent Photograph identical with photo uploaded earlier.

Results and Admission

WBJEEB will announce separate merit lists for JENPAUH 2017, one for B.Sc Nursing and another for remain courses. The results for JENPAUH 2017 are tentatively announced on 15th June 2017. Counselling and admission process for WBJEEB JENPAUH 2017 will be handled by WB Health and details of admission process will be announced later.
