Kerala PG Nursing Entrance Exam 2016: Application Process Started

CEE Kerala is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission into postgraduate nursing programs across various colleges in Kerala state. Aspiring candidates have to apply and appear for PG Nursing Entrance Exam 2016, which is scheduled to be conducted on 13th August 2016 for academic year 2016-17. Candidates have to apply online only.

Candidates who are domicile of India with Kerala origin are eligible for admissions in to PG programs having qualified in B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing. Candidates shall complete one year experience and should get registered in Kerala nursing council before the notification to write the exam. Both general and in-service candidates are eligible to appear entrance exam provided with an upper age limit of 42 (general candidates) and 49(for in-service candidates) years set by CEE Kerala.

An online application is available from 13th July 2016 on CEE Kerala website and candidates have to do one time registration to fill the application.  Fee payment for application can be done online or by demand draft.

Filled in application along with necessary documents like nativity certificate , Nursing council registration, mark list of B.Sc. Nursing /Post basic B.Sc. Nursing , Fee receipt, Age proof and Experience certificate are to be sent to “Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Vth Floor, Upper Zone,Housing Board Buildings, Santhi Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram” before the last date for application submission i.e 22nd July 2016.

Admit card for the exam will be available for download from 5th August 2016 and exam will be held on 13th August at Thiruvananthapuram center only.

Kerala P.G. nursing exam will be conducted at a standard of B.Sc. nursing and exam paper consists of 200 MCQ type questions and candidates have to bubble the OMR sheets with blue/black ball point pens only.  All the questions will have 4 options with single correct answer. Each correct answer will fetch 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong choice.  

Candidates have to score a minimum of 40% in the entrance to get qualify for admission in to the selected programs. Merit list will be published and admission will be made through central allotment process conducted by CEE Kerala and all the seat allocations are purely based on merit obtained in the exam and preferences opted by the candidates.
