IIFT Announces Admission to MBA (IB) 2017-19, Application Process Started

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) a prestigious institute, which has campuses at New Delhi and Kolkata announced admission process for M.B.A. in international business (IB) for academic year 2017-19. IIFT Selects candidates for MBA (IB) based on performance in the Written test, Essay writing, Group discussion (GD) and Personal interview (PI). Written test will be conducted on 27th November 2016 in select test centers across India and based on the written test performance selective candidates will be called for next level of admission process( Essay writing, GD and PI).

Application process

Application process has started from today and candidates willing to apply for MBA (IB) in IIFT can apply through online or offline. Candidates applying through offline have to buy the admission prospectus by cash or DD. An application is enclosed with the prospectus and candidates have to submit the filled in application before 5th September 2016 along with necessary documents. Cost of the prospectus is Rs.1550/- (Rs.775/- for SC/ST/PH), 80$ for Foreign nationals.

Candidates who are applying online have to do a onetime registration for filling in the application online. Candidates can login to website using application number and password generated during registration process and can fill the application, upload scanned copies of photograph and signature. Once the application process completes, candidates can pay the application fee either online or by DD drawn in favour of “INDIAN INSTITUTE OF FOREIGN TRADE, payable at NEW DELHI”. Candidates have to fill in the details of the DD in the application. Candidates have to preserve print out of application for future needs. Application fee is Rs.1550/- (Rs.775/- for SC/ST/PH), 80$ for Foreign nationals.

Some seats are reserved for the foreign nationals/NRI/NRI children and admission will be done on the basis of GMAT scores obtained after 1st January 2015 and scores should be reported to the institute by 31st March 2017.

Eligibility

  • Candidates shall have a minimum 3 year bachelor degree from any recognized university
  • Candidates who are appearing final year of qualifying exam in 2017 can also apply subject to admission guidelines
  • No age limit.

Test pattern

IIFT written test for MBA (IB) will be multiple choice question type and is conducted to determine the candidate’s skills in English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis. Test will be conducted for duration of 2 hours.

Admit card

Admit cards will be sent to candidate’s postal address in second week of November, also candidates can download the admit cards online from IIFT website who didn’t received through post. Candidates have to report the test center by 9:00AM on the exam date with admit card and any of the following identity proofs i.e., passport, pan card, electoral id, college id and driving license.

Test centers

IIFT conducts written test for academic year 2017-19 at Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubeneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hydrabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam cities. Candidates may opt for change of test center by paying a sum of 500/- before 4th November and exam will be conducted between 10:00AM and 12:00PM on 27th November 2017.
